Brad Hennessey showed us last night what he can be, if everything goes right with his development. He's always going to have to rely on his fielders, which limits his ceiling, but his success last night had a really simple blueprint. He threw strikes to the corners, and his breaking stuff was sharp. If Hennessey could learn to do that consistently, he would be a cheap back-of-the-rotation guy for years.

That description fits about 150 other young pitchers floating between AAA and the majors, but watching Hennessey actually do it is always welcome.
