Not much time today, so I'll just throw out a quick comment starter.
In yesterday's Chronicle, Ned Colletti had this to say about Jason Schmidt:
"We don't have any intention of trading Jason Schmidt. We're not close to a deal with anybody. Our starting pitching is where we need to improve if we want to make a run in the second half. I don't think we get ourselves into a better position by trading Jason Schmidt."
Do you think this is just lip service for the benefit of deluded season-ticket holders, or can the front office really believe they are going to try and make a run in the second half?
