Over at Athletics Nation, there's a diary asking for predictions on the Giants/A's series. Which Giants starter will give the A's the most trouble, et cetera. Of note, however, is the idea that not one respondant picked the A's to lose the series. Both teams have been pretty miserable this year, and this could be the biggest difference between the two fanbases. The A's fans see their team as The Little Engine that Could. Giants fans see their team as Murray, the Tax Attorney Who Has Cheated On His Wife Before, and Will Gladly Do So Again.
Were the same question asked here, there would be quite a few people tripping over themselves, trying to be the first to detail with florid prose how the Giants would get swept.
