Don't Click Me: Messenger Sent Down?

I feel this is newsworthy. Right over here
You'll need to visit the link before you read the rest of the diary, or else you'll be left clueless.

Did you know Randy Messenger was demoted?

That fat clown shouldn't have called the HR chase/Barry a freak show when he arrived. What? He was referring to the media? Screw you! I knew that. But why has he gotten multiple diaries for being demoted (no smart-ass comments that points out I created one is needed)?

How he was regarded:

"You can't trash Benitez for years and then complain we got a bum for him."

Yes I can. I just did. And if you re-read what I wrote, you would understand why I could and did.

This guy is worse than getting nothing. He's a piece of shit. We have no shortage of pieces of shit. The concept is that when you have lots of pieces of shit, you do not solve your problems by exchanging one piece of shit for another piece of shit. The idea is to flush as many pieces of shit as you can down the toilet. Not keep bringing them onto the team.

There is nothing in his appearance, his stats, his statements, his past troubles with teammates to convince me that he is not exactly that--a piece of shit.

Now it may turn out somehow that this piece of shit can be upgraded to a mediocre middle reliever, but what in recent Giants history leads anybody other than Brian Sabaen and a few front office sycophants to believe that he is going to be anything other than what he has been since he got to MLB? Well?  What is it that you know, that I don't that precludes me from referring to him as just one more piece of shit acquired by Brian Sabaen?

Oh yeah, you clicked on the link and you even clicked to read this diary. HAHAHAHA!

The only thing left to do is to turn this into a link dump...

Chill It

I like the part when the author says Aurilia still has a few good years in him.

Nicely done!

Why are the Rockies in the World Series?

They had the foresight to designate Steve Finley for assignment.

Too late for the Giants.

Eat your heart out

We could have had him, I believe.

What actually spurred me to link the article was this post.

Damn Straight!

Damn Straight!

Fear not! This diary won't resemble a similarly-named claptrap diary written by MCC's notorious poster.

But then again, most people do visit that site without my prodding.

Well, at least I can offer this...

I never get tired of it!

Managing the Clock (Indians)

A series of interesting discussions have been discussed by A's fans, who have been mulling over a Blanton-for-Milledge trade. The contentitous issues over service time and salary have also been mentioned. For instance, they have been discussing the trade-off of six(or less) years of Milledge for a cheap arm like Blanton (who is already in the majors).

Would you trade for Milledge and then play him immediately, knowing that you would likely waste one low-salary year for a lack of substantial production? Or would you trade for Milledge, and keep him in the minors so that you keep all of his peak years for cheap (you also are less likely to contend in the present)? Or would you keep Blanton, who is ready to play now?

The thing is I don't like Bush Milledge. Instead, I wanted to know how the situation of keeping Lincecum in the minors is similar. How does the McCovern feel about keeping Lincecum for more years in the minors, so that the Giants get his most productive years (so that we don't waste his cheap rookie season and we get his best years before he becomes a free agent)?

Also, I have been reading this old article by the Indians, which concerns service time and how arbitaration-eligibility affects roster decisions. Is there any chance that Cain might be affected by this situation?

http://www.letsgotribe.com/story/2006/6/23/15557/1077

If I remember correctly, when Cain was called up, he did not spend too much time in the majors. I hope the Giants didn't waste one of his pre-free agent years.

Suck my balls, Cartman-style. Yay!

We could have had this instead of Fleas, but 3 years and 20 million?
