Ortiz vs. Harden

1st half inning. 2 outs. Bradley up after a double-play erased somebody. I just tuned in.

I own my own business and I'm a giants fan; being a Giants fan is harder.

Don't tempt me.

I tuned out on July 23, 2006 (Benitez implodes), and have been spending quality time with my stamp collection since then.

This game's on KNBR, by the way. They're even doing the internet feed.

(Russ got through the first inning after Bradley got on with a weird-hop single).

My first KNBR game of the season, and all I had to do was wait for a day off from work. I'm not complaining. I can't complain as long as Jon Miller is on my radio.

Re: Gameday Thread 3/9/07 Giants vs. A's
Kendall led off the first inning with an infield hit.  It was a a sharp grounder or maybe a line drive that ricocheted off the bottom of Ortiz' foot.  Kendall was erased on the DP.

Two DPs for the Giants now.

Scouts behind the plate with radar guns? Is it Giants in-house stuff to measure Russ?

Unfortunately, Miller says they're registering 88
Those guns were just purchased by Sabean at Phoenix Circuit City.

Management has decided to stop believing Russ' agent on the supposed recovery of his 93 mph fastball.

Scouts with guns at pretty much every game all season long. Radar guns at high school games are the rule, not the exception.  Course some stringers think it makes them look important. Its almost fashionware for some guys now. The silliness of trying to look important.

No. If he's only throwing 87-88 he's throwing poo. If he's throwing better than its not poo, its cheese. I like Roos. I just don't like Roos throwing poo. I want Roos to throw cheese. If Roos flings poo then we should flush him. If he throws ched, then we're ahead.
