Obligatory Morris Pic

I suggest a new strategy, Nats: let the wookie win.

Re: did Grant...
Perhaps I'm missing it because it's so long to follow, but could he have meant "Morris v. Ortiz"?

Or maybe he meant an imaginary cartoon ant who flies around with a football helmet on will save the day for the Giants right at the end of the show:  by beating up Benitez, like in all those snazzy action pictures populating this blog lately, so that Wilson or Sanchez can come in and save the game.

To my mind, "Up and atom" is a Simpsons reference; Rainier Wolfcastle trying to be Radioactive Man.

I out nerded everyone...
Read it and weep, dudes:  http://www.snpp.com/episodes/2F17.html

Search on term "Atom Ant".  That "Radioactive Man" episode of the Simpson's referred to the phrase "Up and Atom" and according to this site it is a reference to Atom Ant.

Oops, OK, I guess I'm wrong.  This site says that his original phrase was "Up and at'em, Atom Ant!":  http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/Atom+Ant.  So it is a Simpson reference, but that also references Atom Ant.

He is indeed struggling with men on 3rd, less than 2 out. His numbers are a pathetic .231/.278/.385 this year, which is even more horrible when you consider that BA and SLG are supposed to go UP in these situations (because if you hit a SF that doesn't count as an out for those statistics).
