Benitez stomps out to the mound, and glares in at the catcher. He throws 13 pitches, and retires all three batters in order. Seriously. The Giants win the division by one game, which means this game was as important as any other regular season game. Then they lose in the playoffs when Todd Greene trips on a batting donut in the on-deck circle, blowing a three-run lead. Also, Benitez had already blown the lead by allowing back-to-back-to-back-to-back home runs. So, I guess the donut thing really didn't matter. But it was embarrassing. Did I mention they didn't win the World Series again?
