So, if I took pleasure in this but ripped on Russ Springer for throwing at Bonds, am I a hypocrite? Probably. Maybe I should make another motivational poster about not caring.

See, that's only part of the equation. You have to use the phrase as a link, too. For instance: I hate A.J. Pierzynski would, in theory, be the best way to do it. That said, I can't say I hate A.J. Pierzynski enough to throw stuff at him or even to wish him bodily harm, but I can say I hate A.J. Pierzynski enough to boo him mercilessly and wish him professional ruin.

Nice Snatch reference, by the way. There never can be too many references to that movie.

The scene where Tyrone, Vinny, and Sol pull up in front of the bookie's before they rob it was the hardest I've ever laughed watching a movie, ever.

I'd be the best at everything, but I'd need everyone else to either die or stop being better than me first.

Actally, I think most references to A.J.'s chin are pretty much inherent non-sequiturs.  But I guess, "keep your wobble up," doesn't have the same zing and zazz.

He seems to be fatter than Tommy Lasorda in that picture - maybe that's a matzo ball he's reaching for instead of a baseball.

You host the picture on a site like photobucket.com, or imageshack.us. Some of the above posters are linked directly to the sites that host them.

And the Over .500, while not qualifying for the McCovey Bucks, was very nice.

Any time there's footage of someone or something doing something that someone else is talking about, it's on that wacky YouTube.com site. Go there and search for Pierzynski, and it should be there in 30 different formats....

In all honesty, the still pics make it look better than it was.  In the video, you can see that it was a "close quarters" punch that really didn't have much behind it.

As a die hard Cub fan, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has participated in this contest, because in an otherwise dreary season (again) for us, these posters have given many us of some very big laughs. Some were truly inspired, all very funny. Michael Barrett rocks.
