The only scheduled game for a Giants' affiliate last night was postponed.  Connecticut can sweep its series tonight, weather permitting.  San Jose has its first playoff game tonight.

Salem-Keizer won the NWL championship, and Connecticut won again.  Highlights on an individual level for the winning Giants' affiliates: (a) Eddy Martinez-Esteve homered while having a couple hits; (b) Juan Martinez had three more hits; and (c) Quinowksi had 8 K in 3.0 scoreless IP.

Highlights from the Giants' farm as both Connecticut and Salem-Keizer won their playoff games: (a) Eddy Martintez-Esteve homered and doubled while reaching base in all five plate appearances; (b) Ben Snyder had perhaps the best start of his pro career with 8.0 shutout IP before allowing a couple runs in the 9th inning; and (c) Craig Westcott had the best start of his young pro career with 7 .0 shutout IP.

Highlights on the final day of the regular season for the Giants' full-season affiliates (and with the short-season teams having already completed their regular seasons): (a) Josh Mazzola homered, doubled twice, and singled; (b,c) Matt Downs and Thomas Neal also had four hits each; (d) Brett Pill had three hits, including a big fly; and (e,f,g) Garrett Broshuis, Paul Oseguera, and Andrew Reichard combined to allow just  1 R and 6 H in 18.0 IP in their starts.  Honorable mention goes to other lines that would often be highlight-worthy today but not quite as impressive as the previously cited performances: (h,i,j) Nestor Rojas, Shane Jordan, and James Simmons each reached base four times; (k,l) Ryan Lormand and Charlie Culberson each had a couple XBH; and (m) Jorge Bucardo pitched a complete game.
