I just had a delicious house burger at Bashful Bull Too and am operating on three hours of sleep, so I'm sufficiently drowsy enough to watch the Giants game.

Re: When did PC become the item of the day
I don't even particularly care about the pitch count, but Cain looked like he was tiring in the last inning.  However, Baseball Prospectus did a study a few years ago that said that high pitch counts have a high correlation with arm injuries and young pitchers (25 and under).  You can't prove cause-and-effect, but it's a significant correlation.

Pleasssssse trade Omar to someone who could use a SS. Cut Sweeney. Pleasssse do not resign Bonds except for 2-3 mil. as a 4th OF. Please get a closer, a really good OF and a 1B AND 3B. Aurilia can platoon and be a Backup.

Hey, we're just in a tough division.

We'd be in second place in the NL Central.

Re: Open Gameday Thread, 6/10
I was lucky enough to be about 500 niles away from any local Giants broadcasts this weekend. I would be in a really really bad mood if I hadn't been.

Jesus, what kind of shit. Two shutouts in a row. Cain goes 8 innings of 1 run ball and takes the loss?

I bet Morris gets 9 runs from this team tomorrow. Unbelievable.

Matt Cain has gotten 42 runs of support in his 12 starts this year. Take out the 15 run anomaly of a win he got, that's 27 runs in 11 games. 27??? TWENTY SEVEN runs in ELEVEN games? Take out his other win and it's 20 runs in 10 games. Two runs a game in 85% of his starts?

I'm so far beyond disgusted it's disgusting. Anybody up for a group vomit? I know where there's a trough...

Tough Luck Loser
Matt Cain may bet be the best 2-6 pitcher I ever saw.

Re: Open Gameday Thread, 6/10
I've noticed we tend to lose when I don't post in the Gameday threads. I will proceed to post my nuts off from this point forward. I will call every ball and strike if I have to damn it.

I'll ignore the threads I've commented in that resulted in losses. They're not relevant.

Good news: Brian Sabean has left us in position to be in contention by the next century, at least.
