Ford and Susac both homered in the 1st inning, going deep for their 3rd and 8th HRs.
De Paula made his sixth start this year. He followed up his 4.0 no-hit, scoreless IP five days with another 4.0 scoreless IP before allowing a run in the 5th inning. Hembree pitched a perfect 9th inning. His component stats are now 38 H, 10 BB, 4 HR, and 39 K in 34.1 IP.
AA: Richmond defeated Reading 5-4

LaTorre reached base in all four plate appearances. Lisson also reached base three times.
Making his sixteenth start, Blach allowed a new season-high 4 ER, although that was still good enough for the win. His ERA remains below 3.00. Quirarte's 2.0 perfect IP brought his ERA back below 3.50.

Bednar, who was promoted from the Sally League earlier this week, has hit safely in all four Cal League games. Tonight he was one of three Giants with two hits each.
Flores had one of his shorter starts this year. He allowed nearly half his batters (10 of 21) to reach base.

(rallying with three runs in the 9th inning)

Horan and Sy hit their 11th and 7th HRs. They have combined for nearly half of the GreenJackets' HRs (18 of 40). Among the eleven GreenJackets with at least 140 AB this year, they also are the top two in OBP at .348 and .338.
Johnson matched a season-high with 6 K--his fifth time with 6 K in fourteen starts.

While all nine Volcanoes in the lineup had a hit, only three reached base twice, and those three in fact reached base three times each. Ewing connected for his 2nd pro HR. Callaway has five doubles in his last three games, raising his SLG to nearly .475. Arroyo's three singles raised his AVG to nearly .300.
Gonzalez began the game with five scoreless frames before allowing three unearned runs in the 6th inning. The performance brought his ERA below 3.00 after five starts.
