Vote for Pablo Sandoval or whatever

Ezra Shaw

There won't be any Giants starting in the All-Star Game, but, I don't know, they've been kind of lousy lately, so, okay. Still, check out Pablo Sandoval if you get the chance, I guess.

Okay, so the Giants don't have much of a chance to get a starter elected to the All-Star Game, but there's still a slight chance that Pablo Sandoval could make a late push. I guess. I mean, technically. Whatever. The last voting update:

Sandoval is actually leading of the two guys ahead of him in WAR, but, you know, whatever. Todd Frazier is the one actually getting hosed, but you should vote for Sandoval. He seems to have fun out there, and the Giants are your favorite team, so I guess you should vote for him, but only if you're not doing anything right now. I don't want to get pushy. He probably doesn't deserve it, but, heck, you've heard of him.

Pablo Sandoval: You've probably heard of him.

The first time there was a voting update, we were all, hey, wouldn't it be weird if the Giants had just one All-Star, even though they're the best team in baseball? And then we were all, ha ha, you know what would be even weirder is if the Giants lost 10 games in the standings in 19 games, and, like, that's what happened! So weird.

It was a lot more fun to write about the Giants stuffing the ballot box in 2011. I'll be completely honest. The low Giants vote totals were kind of disappointing when the Giants were ruling the world, and they're just depressing now. But if you're not doing anything, I don't know. If you get a chance. Vote Pablo Sandoval.

If you get a chance.

(Juan Perez is leading off tonight.)
