Fresno: SP Mitch Lively: 6.0 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 4 BB, 8 K--1 WP
Colvin had a big game with his 1st HR, 1st triple, and a walk. Over his last ten games, he has 15 H in 35 AB (.429 AVG) with 6 XBH, plus 2 BB. Panik also reached base three times.
Lively's sixth start was his most effective this year. He did not allow a run for the first time this year and had new season highs with both 8 K and 6.0 IP.
AA: Richmond defeated Bowie 5-3
Richmond: CF Jarrett Parker: 2 for 3, 3B, BB
Richmond: 3B Mario Lisson: 3 for 4, SO, SB
Richmond: SP Clayton Blackburn: 7.0 IP, 8 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 1 K--1 WP
Parker, who hit his 3rd triple, and Lisson both reached base three time for the Flying Squirrels. Lisson's three hits today led the Flying Squirrels' twelve-hit attack, but he still finished the game with the lowest batting average in the Squirrels' lineup as he has hit just .182 in 66 AB.
Despite just 1 K and a season-high 8 H, Blackburn had a solid start, including a season-high 7.0 IP in his fifth start. He threw 84 pitches (53 strikes).
A+: San Jose to Modesto 10-8
(despite leading 8-0 in the middle of the 4th inning)
San Jose: LF Chris Lofton: 0 for 1, 4 BB, SO, 2 SB
San Jose: SS Blake Miller: 1 for 5, HR, SO
San Jose: SP Pat Young: 5.0 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, 2 K--1 WP
Miller's 3rd HR, a grand slam with no outs in the 4th inning, game the Giants an 8-0 lead, but it was not enough. Lofton drew 4 BB, doubling his season total (now 8 BB among 58 AB in 16 games).
Young's fifth start yielded season highs with both 4 R and 4 BB, but he at least fared better than his three relievers, who combined for 6 ER in 3.0 IP. Young's walk rate is on the high side with 13 BB in 23.2 IP.

Augusta: RF Tyler Horan: 2 for 4, 2 2B, BB, 2 SO
Augusta: SP Luis Ysla: 0.1 IP, 1 H
Augusta: RP Steven Messner: 3.2 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 0 K
Horan hit his 7th and 8th doubles while reaching base three times.
After Ysla faced just two batters yesterday before the game was suspended, Messner effectively became the starter today. He allowed just 1 R despite having 6 H and 0 K.
A-: Augusta lost to Charleston 2-0 (7 innings) in game 2
Augusta: RF Tyler Horan: 1 for 2, 2B, BB
Augusta: SP Keury Mella: 6.0 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 5 K--1 HR
Horan's 9th double was one of just four hits for the GreenJackets, and he also drew one of their two walks. He has hit .325/.391/.494 through 83 AB.
Mella pitched his first pro complete game, but in a losing effort after allowing a two-run HR in the 6th inning.
