Sunday highlight from the Giants' farm: Kyle Crick had 7.0 scoreless IP.
AAA: Fresno ended its season on Labor Day
AA: Richmond ended its season on Labor Day
A-: San Jose defeated Visalia 2-0
(evening the best-of-five series at game apiece)
San Jose: SS Matt Duffy: 2 for 3, BB
San Jose: RF Mac Williamson: 1 for 2, BB, HBP
San Jose: 1B Ricky Oropesa: 1 for 4, HR, 2 SO
San Jose: SP Kyle Crick: 7.0 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 8 K--1 HB
Oropesa lead off the bottom of the 2nd inning with a HR, scoring the game's only run through the first six innings. Duffy was the lone Giant with two hits, including an RBI single in the 7th inning. Both he and Williamson reached base three times.
Crick struck out better than one third (8 of 22) his batters, while facing just one batter over the minimum in 7.0 scoreless IP. He threw 65 of 90 pitches for strikes. Was this perhaps his best performance of the year? FWIW, Crick's final start of the year also came against Visalia, and that was his only other start this year pitching into the 7th inning.

ssA: Salem-Keizer was eliminated from the NWL playoffs on Wednesday
