COP Round 5: Even More Free Agents and Trades

Last week's thread can be found here.

Since Pence wasn't officially signed by us before his new deal, the 5/90 contract will be put in place. The breakdown calls for $16M in 2014 and $18.5M in 2015-18.

There were two decisions made (by us) this week:

Giants acquire Daniel Murphy for Roger Kieschnick, Joan Gregorio, and Chris Marlowe

Giants sign Masahiro Tanaka for five years and $45M with a $35M posting fee:

2014: $5.5M

2015: $9.5M

2016-2018: $10M

Giants sign Josh Johnson for one year and $6M plus an option:

2014: $6M (incentive: $3M for 180 IP)

2015: Team Option: $14M (buyout: $2M) (incentive: $3M for 180 IP)

Updated 40-man, salaries, projected rotation, lineups, bullpen, and bench can be found here.

The current payroll stands at $145.5655M. There are currently 39 players on the 40-man.

As usual, free agent signings, trades, and DFA proposals are on the table.

In this post, we will vote on the following:

Daniel Murphy's arbitration salary
