Sunday highlights from the Giants' farm: Chris Gloor had 7.0 scoreless IP, and both Mac Williamson and Matt Duffy homered and doubled.

Villegas, playing his first game in a week, had three of the Grizzlies' twelve hits. Noonan and Linden also reached base three times each, while combining for three XBH.

On a day on which hitting conditions were apparently favorable, Heston allowed more than 3 ER for just the second time in his last five starts. He has a 5.31 after seventeen starts. Runzler had 2 K in 1.1 perfect IP.

AA: Richmond defeated Erie 2-0

In the 2nd inning, Susac connected for his 11th HR. He has 4 HRs in his last seven games. With two singles, Adrianza had two of the Flying Squirrels' six hits, but his AVG remains below .235.

Gloor has now made ten straight starts with 3 ER or less in 6.0 IP or more. He has a 2.00 ERA over those ten starts. Hall pitched perfect 8th and 9th innings in his upper minors debut.

Williamson hit his 12th HR and 16th double. His third-straight two-hit game raised his OPS above .800. Stromsmoe reached base three times, raising his OBP to .404 through sixteen Cal League games.

Making his first rehab start, Casilla allowed a run on a couple hits. He threw 12 of 15 pitches for strikes. Blach, the regular starter, faced just two batters over the minimum in 5.0 IP, but both batters over the minimum resulted in an earned run.

A-: Augusta defeated Ashville 9-7
(scoring seven runs over the final two innings)

Duffy hit his 4th HR, 14th double and a single. Since coming off the DL ten games ago, he has a nine-game hitting streak, during which he has hit 15 for 41 with 6 XBH. With his 12th and 13th doubles, Houck was the other GreenJacket with two hits.

Allowing 3 ER in both the 3rd and 7th innings, Stratton matched season highs with 6 ER and 11 H. In June, he was hit hard, or at least frequently, allowing a .337 BAA on 34 H in 23.1 IP.

Eberle and Polonius each had two of the Volcanoes' eight hits. Both have .300+ AVGs.

Leenhouts has allowed just 3 ER through four starts. Smith has 8 K in 4.0 IP over his last two appearances.

R: Giants defeated Padres 8-6

Scottsdale: 2B Rando Moreno: 2 for 3, 2 BB, SO, CS

Scottsdale: SP Carlos Alvarado: 3.0 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 K--1 HR

Tuntland, after going hitless in his first two pro games, doubled twice, singled and walked in his third pro game. Moreno also reached base four times.

Alvarado, a reliever last summer in the DSL, got the start today in his second appearance this year.

DSL: Gigantes defeated Twins 2-1

Dominican: RF Carlos Cartegena: 1 for 2, HR, BB
Dominican: SP Olbis Parra: 6.0 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 K--1 WP

Cartagena's (19.6 y.o.) 3rd HR was one of just two hits for the Gigantes. Parra (18.8 y.o.) made his longest start this year (through five starts).
