Tuesday highlight from the Giants' farm: Johnny Monell homered among three hits.

Brown and Tanaka both reached base four times for the Grizzlies. Monell hit his 13th HR, 14th double and a single--his third three-hit performance in his last four games. Jacobs, who accumulated nearly 2,000 PA in the majors between 2006 and 2009 and who is now with the Diamondbacks, homered twice.

Heston allowed nearly half (12 of 26) his batters to reach base while his ERA rose to 5.42. Runzler retired just one of six batters in the 9th inning, allowing a walk-off grand slam to the game's final batter.

Villalona was the lone hitter for the California League with two hits. Arnold, the second catcher for the Cal League, reached base in both his plate appearances. Harris drew a walk.

Blach allowed a solo HR in the 2nd inning. In the 4th inning, Escobar allowed 5 ER, while allowing hits to six of his nine batters. Osich, the last of ten pitchers for the Cal League, retired one of his two batters.

Galindo, the lone position player representing the GreenJackets, had an oh-fer. The Royals' 17-year-old Mondesi was the game's lone player with two hits.

Agosta pitched a scoreless 1st inning, allowing just a walk. Stratton allowed singles to four of his seven batters in the 3rd inningand allowed both of the North's two runs. Mizenko retired his only batter.

ssA: Salem-Keizer defeated Boise 9-2

After four singles in his first three games, Cornier homered and tripled for his first XBHs this year, although the 21-year-old also allowed a couple passed balls.

Moronta faced just one batter over the minimum through 3.0 IP but gave way to Mendoza who provided 4.2 IP in long relief. Each pitcher allowed just a single run.

DSL: Gigantes lost to Twins 4-1

Dominican: C Jose Morles: 1 for 2, 2B, BB
Dominican: SP Michael Santos: 5.0 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 4 K--1 WP

This was an easy line to choose--Morles' (18.10 y.o.) double was the Gigantes' lone hit, and he drew their only walk. Santos (18.0 y.o.) was solid in his fourth pro start.
