Well, now that Vogy's out with a broken hand for 4 to 6 weeks, I'm even more concerned we ought to be looking at dealing for another starting pitcher. The starting rotation's struggles this year have not gone unnoticed, and as much as I'd love to add Cliff Lee to our roster, I realize that's a long shot at best.
So here's where we play fantasy GM. Who would you potentially deal for (if anyone) to shore up the starting pitching which is statistically floundering near the bottom of the National League? The farm system doesn't have anyone that can realistically come up and provide anything more than a spot start. Top prospects like Kyle Crick and Chris Stratton are at least a couple of years away from being called up as well.
1) He's an 'okay' starting pitcher (4.41 career ERA and 1.41 career WHIP over 5 years)
2) He plays on a cruddy team that may give him up for some marginal prospects
3) He's on a dirt-cheap contract ($3 million this year)
