My name is Marcio and I am a resident of Orange County, CA. I am a HUGE fan of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and have been a member of Halos Heaven for over a year now. After a dissapointing 2011 for the Halos, I decided to follow an NL team along with my AL Angels. My decision was hard-thought and I considered many teams. At first, I thought about picking the Nationals. They were just getting good with an onslaught of young talent coming up through their farm system and had never been to the playoffs (I love me an underdog). For similar reasons I considered the Braves and the Cubs, but then decided I would feel much better cheering for a Cali team, so I had 3 teams to choose from. The Padres, Los Doyers, and the Giants. I couldn't possibly move myself to root for the Dodgers, mostly due to the fact that I hate them and hope they finish every season 40-122 from now until the end of time, so it was down to the Pads and the Giants.
I was leaning towards the Padres at first since SF had just won a world title and I'm drawn to the underdog, but then a February trip to the bay to visit my sister sealed my decision. I will root for the NL team who plays in the city I fell in love with that warm winter week (unless they play the Halos, in which case, go Angels!!). Seems I made a good choice, after witnessing that amazing run to the 2012 World Series rooting "GO GIANTS!!" (congradulations, by the way).
So here I am, full-time Angels fan and part-time Giants fan, about to see the Giants play at home for the first time. My girlfriend and I will be attending the game against the Rockies Saturday, May 25th (I beleive it is a World Series cap giveaway game) and would really appreciate any tips you can lend me that will make our time there more enjoyable or save me some money. For example, if one of you fine people were visiting Angel Stadium of Anaheim, I would suggest you buy your beer at the Hanger 21 stand immediately to the right near the enterance to the left of the hats at the main gate. Or that you order a Kancas City BBQ dog from the stand to the left of the Corona patio. Or if you're a single guy/gal looking to hookup, the Budweiser patio is a haven for young people looking to have a good time. Any advise, really. I am sitting in section 302, row 7, however, I plan on walking around the entire stadium to see all the fun it has to offer.
So hi, everyone, and go Giants!(excepet against the Angels).
