Friday highlight from the Giants' farm: Jesus Galindo homered while reaching base three times.

Hitting leadoff, Tanaka reached base four times, raising his OBP above .400. One spot lower in the lineup, Brown reached base three times, including once via his 8th double. Pinch hitting for the pitcher in the 7th inning, Monell connected for his 4th HR. Gindl, one of the Brewers' top 30 prospects, reached base five times.

Making his PCL debut, the 27-year-old Fitzgerald allowed nearly half his batters to reach base but kept the damage limited to two runs. Ramirez struck out three of his four batters in the 7th inning. Hembree loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the 12th inning but then struck out the next two batters and got the final batter to ground out to escape without allowing a run.

Williamson and Payne each had two of of the Giants' nine hits, including Payne's 5th double, as they raised their respective AVGs to .274 and .258. Blair reached base three times, raising his OBP above .350.

Making his first start after five relief appearances, Marte went 4.0 IP, while throwing 60 pitches (40 strikes). Hall struck out three of four batters in the 7th inning, and Strickland had 2 K in a perfect 9th inning. With just 2 ER in 15.0 IP, Strickland has a 1.20 ERA.

Galindo had his 1st HR. The slap hitter had previously connected for just 2 HRs as a pro, both coming two years in the Northwest League. Rodriguez had his 2nd and 3rd doubles. With just 5 XBH in 63 AB, he has a .317 SLG.

After having allowed just 4 ER over his first five starts, Flores allowed 6 ER in his sixth start, more than doubling his ERA to 2.65. Gardeck struck out four of his six batters. He has 19 K, but 13 BB, in 15.2 IP.
