Continuing Spring Training Prospects Discussion, Part 4 (Last One Before Minor Lines Debuts!)

I figured that we need 1 more of these before Minor Lines debuts on Friday. The comments should be flying hot & heavy as leaks and reports of which prospects are being assigned to which level begin to trickle in over the next few days. Rather than reinvent the wheel, I decided to just cut & paste Lauren's post from the last thread as the approprite way to get the ball rolling:

Here’s the roster they had [at the minor league spring training camp]:

The numbers on the right correspond to the group they were in yesterday based on what they or a coach told me or what I saw. Group 1 = AAA, 2 = AA, 3 = high-A, 4 = low-A. 5 = Extended Spring Training, and I only know Cristian Otero is there because I asked him. The ? for Stephen Yarrow is because I didn’t see him. X means they got released (or in Otero’s case, claimed on waivers). R is for rehab, M means they left for San Francisco. The blanks mean I’m not sure which group they were in but I did see them there. Oh and there was one other guy who got released. I thought he looked like Cameron McVey or Jonathan Jones, but both those guys are still in camp, so it must have been Jonathan Meloan. I didn’t see him on a field yesterday.

12 players from last year’s DSL came over this year. I recognized 7 of them, and I was too embarrassed to ask who the other 5 were because a bunch of them seemed to recognize me. I asked one of the coaches if he had a list, and he said he would give it to me after yesterday’s game, but unfortunately my friend and I had to leave before I could get it from him because we had to make our flight. Anyway, the 7 I recognized were Carlos Alvarado, Alexis Almeida, Fernando Pujadas, Alejandro Flores, Luis Pino, Keury Mella, and Carlos Diaz. Alexis Almeida had his arm in a sling and told me he had Tommy John surgery and would be out for a year.
