So, there you have it. Mike Morse is a San Francisco Giant. It's way too early in the morning for this news.
Giants signed Morse.

One year deal for Michael Morse. #SFgiants have their left fielder.

Bobby Evans tells us Michael Morse agrees to 1-yr deal, will be #SFGiants everyday LF, w/ Gregor Blanco as defensive replacement. So there.

Well, okay then. Suck it, PLATOON. Also, he'll probably spell Belt against tough lefties. At least, that's what Harold Reynolds declared on HOT STOVE LIVE.
He's coming off a wrist injury and a couple of bad seasons, but in 2011 he hit 31 home runs!
His defense is most likely Guillenesque.
On the other hand, he once reenacted a home run trot:
Have yet to see a dollar amount attached to this. The notion that he'll be the full-time left fielder probably means it's in the $7-$10 million dollar range, which for one year, on a team where money isn't a problem, isn't the worst thing in the world. It's still a pretty silly notion that he's a full-timer, but this is the world that we live in now, folks.
