Let me admit from the outset that I've never been much of a Corey Hart fan. Dunno why, he just seemed kinda meh.
But here we are with two more important spots to fill (starting pitcher #5 or #4, depending on who they sign, and our left fielder, who at this moment is more important than the #5).
So I decided to look at his numbers, and especially his splits being that he plays in the Brewers bandbox. But you know what? This guy is one of the most consistent hitters - year in and year out - that I've ever seen (NOT Robinson Cano consistent or even Matt Holiday consistent, but consistent across the board.) Take a look at his career stats and his splits and his home/away numbers. Consistent!
Yes, he's 31 and was injured last year, but this guy might help. He's versatile enough to play any OF spot and 1B.
So my question to the McCoven: Would you want him? If so, for how much and how long? And if not, why not?
