Interview with a Dominican Republic Giants scout, part 1 of 4

It's been over 2 months since I got back, but I finally uploaded and translated the first of the interviews I got from my Dominican Summer League Giants adventure. Gabriel Elías, a Giants scout stationed in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, kindly drove a friend and me over 60 miles roundtrip to see a game (completely for free!) AND let me bombard him with questions most of the way there and back. It was WONDERFUL! I've uploaded and transcribed this interview (made up mostly of questions that people, aka Fla-Giant, gave me from minor lines) and translated it to English. I was going to wait til I got everything together from that day and make one giant FanPost, but by the time that happens, all this information might be irrelevant. So, I'll just post things as I get them done, and at the end (if I ever finish) I'll put it all together in one big thing or something.

In this interview we talk about Keury Mella, Royel Astacio, Carlos Valdez, Ángel Villalona, Joan Gregorio, Francisco Peguero, Luis Ángeles, Adalberto Mejia, and Jesús Galindo.

Enjoy!

Note: If you don't want to watch the video, you can just read the transcript (in English or Spanish) if you go to the actual YouTube page. There were a few parts where I couldn't understand/remember what he was saying... so if you happen to be able to fill in any of those blanks for me, I would love it if you let me know, thanks! :)

To find the transcripts: View this video on its YouTube page, then click the button to the right of the "Flag" button and to the left of the view count. From there you can select English or Spanish.
