Nady homered in his second game since joining the Giants organization. Burriss was one of three Grizzlies to reach base twice. Velez, the ex-Giant now in the Cardinals organizations, was one of two players in the game with two hits.
After four relief appearances, Bonser made his first start for the Grizzlies and delivered 4.0 scoreless IP, although he threw just half (30 of 60) of his pitches for strikes.

Krill's three hits, including his 21st double, raised his AVG to .281, which is the second highest AVG on the team.
Blackburn allowed more than 2 R for the first time in his last six starts. Still, in his six starts since the end of June, he has 38 K and 3 BB in 38.0 IP with an ERA below 2.00. He has perhaps four more starts this year and appears to be finishing the season strong.

Jones' 4th HR and 8th double raised his OPS to an even .700. Branca was one of two other Volancoes with two hits.
After allowing at least 3 ER in each of his previous five starts, Gregorio allowed just 1 ER in this start, having his best start, at least statistically, in a month.

Leenhouts had allowed just 2 ER over his previous three starts but allowed 2 ER in the 1st inning and then 3 ER in the 2nd inning, raising his ERA to nearly 5.50. He was followed by six relievers who each pitched an inning.
