I write about a historical game involving the Pirates every day for the "This Date" feature on the Pirates Prospects website. Today, I covered a Bucs-(NY) Giants game from 1909 that ended with a remarkable game-saving catch by Giants' right fielder Red Murray. Christy Mathewson and Honus Wagner also show up in the narrative, and I link at the end to a Pittsburgh newspaper's game coverage.
