Visiting AT&T Park

Stay connected for news and updates

Hey guys, how's it going? Nice to see a few FTF members around here. I'm a huge A's fan and I regularly post over at Athletics Nation* and I'll be going to the Giants-Braves game on August 23rd.

I've been to AT&T more than a few times (19, in fact) dating all the way back to 2000 but I had always done things on my own. I've been to the same concessions and had the same routine for most of the games I've been to there and I was wondering if you guys had any advice for how to make my experience at AT&T Park the best it could possibly be.

On that note, what do you guys feel are the best concessions and experiences a fan can have at AT&T Park? Which amenities are the best to take advantage of?

Thanks for any advice you guys have. In the few days after the game, I'll post a review of the park just like I did over at Lookout Landing after I visited their park over the summer.

* Disclaimer: Over on AN I've said a few unkind things about the Giants and I just want to make it clear that none of it is directed toward you guys, the McC members. I've read some game threads over here and know some of you guys from over at FTF and I really like the community over here. What I'm against is that whole stadium situation and the bandwagon fans with the panda hats, fake beards, Melkmen hats (at least they had those for a bit), baby Giraffes, fist pumps, and all those other things. Not to mention they show up late and leave early. I remember when KNBR would have callers who would pride themselves on not arriving late or leaving early and unfortunately that's a thing of the past. Anyway, I just wanted to clear that up and let you guys know that I think the posters over here are all right.

I also have a few questions.

1) Most games, I see someone blowing bubbles out somewhere in the vicinity of section 304. What's up with that?

2) Are there certain days where they do the fist pump cam? I've had the luck to avoid it two out of three times this year.

3) When did the guy waving the flag that goes around the bleachers and upper deck start doing that?

Thanks a lot, and to the FTFers over here, GO SHARKS!
