Besides the actual All Star game, the other main attraction is the Homerun Derby. That's great and all, but I was thinking that there needs to be something for the pitchers.
My dad thought a homerun derby for the pitchers could be fun. With pitchers such as Mad Bum, Mike Leake and others having some pop, they could make for a show. (I also think it would be great to see CC Sabathia swing the bat)
I'm not sure if that would draw as big a crowd as the real Homerun Derby, but I do think that there should be something for the pitchers.
Any ideas?
