minor lines, 6/17/12

Fathers Day highlights from the Giants' farm: Francisco Peguero homered, doubled and singled; and Jason Stevenson allowed just 1 ER in 6.0 IP.

AAA: Fresno defeated Salt Lake 4-2
(rallying for three runs in the 8th inning)

Fresno: CF Francisco Peguero: 3 for 5, HR, 2B
Fresno: PH Conor Gillaspie: 1 for, 1 HR
Salt Lake: CF Kole Calhoun: 3 for 4, HR

Fresno: SP Jason Stevenson: 6.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 K--1 HR, 1 HB
Fresno: RP Heath Hembree: 1.0 IP, 1 H

The Grizzlies scored all four runs on a pair of HRs. Peguero's 5th HR was a solo HR in the 5th inning, and Gillaspie's 8th HR was a pinch-hit, two-out, three-run HR in the 8th inning. Peguero's third straight multi-hit game improved his season line to .245/.279/.392 through 265 AB. Calhoun, who made his MLB debut for the Angels earlier this year, drove in both of the Bees' runs.

Stevenson had perhaps his best start of the year. After nine starts for Richmond, the 1 R and 6.0 IP were Stevenson's best marks in his five PCL starts. Hembree pitched a scoreless 9th inning for his 12th save.

(scoring two runs in the bottom of the 10th inning)

Drawing both of the Flying Squirrels' two walks, Liles reached base three times. In limited playing time, he has hit .276/.364/.310 through 87 AB.

Reichard had his second straight quality start. He has pitched effectively in his three June starts with 10 H, 4 BB and 13 K in 15.0 IP.
