New Lincecum Theory?

Stay connected for news and updates

First of all, I'd like to say hello to my fellow Chroniclers. I've followed and read this blog for a while and decided that it's my time contribute little bits and pieces of the thoughts that go through my head. Anyways, introductions are over now. Well, not quite...

This season I've only gone to 1 game (unfortunately) so far. It was a Timmy start agaist the Rockies. Yes, our 9th inning collapse, but that's irrelevant right now. During Timmy's warm up, I noticed that the song that was playing was "Loud" by Mac Miller. (If anyone doesn't know it, here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7CUXjU2hlY&feature=g-vrec)I thought he still warmed up to "Electric Feel" by MGMT. I don't know if it was only for that one start or if he consistently uses that song. I'm writing this based on the assumption that this is a regular occurence for Timmy. We can analyze his mechanics, put numbers into our calculators, and eventually plead with the heavens for him to get past the 5th, but what if the solution is much simpler than that? Baseball is a game of repetition and superstition. What if this new warm up song is completely throwing off the balance in Lincecum's once untouchable universe? What if it was the smooth guitar of MGMT that made his change up so deceptive? What if it's the music? It's note worthy. (See what I did there? Yeah ,sorry. Puns suck, I know).

Timmy's last start was promising, but I think it's impossible to not worry when his start is coming up. We've all wondered what's wrong with him. We can't figure it out, so why not try something new? Does anyone if Lincecum uses this song during every start?

(Also, ironically, Mac Miller's whole schtick is that he smokes lots of cannabis. That's all I'm going to say...)
