Why the hell didn't we try to acquire him in the past? As with JJ Hardy, this was a great buy low candidate with a young SS with good defense and moderate power and Sabes and company failed to even "kick the tires" on acquiring such a player. Sure, like with Hardy, Lowrie has had issues with staying on the field but he's always struck me as a good player who just needs an opportunity to play. He's doing well so far with Houston and it has me grinding me teeth having to watch Crawford and Arias. :(
What do you think it would cost to try to trade for him now? Probably too much right? *sigh*
