Every season there are certain minor leaguers who, despite not necessarily being top prospects, peak my interest. Omitting the Browns and Paniks, their's are the first box scores I go looking for each morning. I'm guessing I'm not alone in this and am curious to see who these players are for others. Mine:
Adam Duvall
2011 Augusta .285/.385./.527, 22 HR.
He's a bit old for the league and there seem to be questions about his bat speed, but I can't stop the visions of Dan Uggla dancing around in my head.
Alex Burg
2011 San Jose .298/.369/.550, 14 HRs in 296 PAs
Again old, and he was buried behind Joseph/Sanchez for the first half of the season, but those are some sweet (league-aided) numbers for a half season of work.
Who, outside of the big names, are you most interested in this year?
