2012 Parade Suggestions

In 2010 I regretfully watched the parade on my computer at work. This year though, I am making the trip from Sacramento. It looks like CBS San Francisco has a good bit of detail about the event, but I wanted to get a feel from those on McC that went 2 years ago. What would be the best way to go and when should I leave Sac? Where were the best places to stand on the route? I can't wait for tomorrow!!!
