Ocean Bases Loaded (warning: lotsa pictures)

While I was putting away all of the Christmas decorations and crap, I stumbled across a box filled with old stuff from my childhood. It consists of drawings, writings, and homework my sister and I did. Among them was a series of drawings I did of anthropomorphic marine creatures playing baseball. I was likely influenced by the old Bases Loaded games and depicted a series of games. These were drawn in '92, so I was in second grade at the time. Apparently I didn't know how to spell "loaded" yet. I thought you guys would enjoy them, so here you go.

I'm not sure what Mil. stood for. It could be Millbrae or Milwaukee.

I like how, in the last one, you crossed out the one base name that was correct. Also, the car for pitchers is an awesome idea.

The first six innings are overrated.

well, the street sharks were totally jawsome

but as a kid of this era, I drew animal people too. It’s too bad that got ruined for forever by the furries that would come shortly

funny OT aside

at Stanford, one of my close friends took a fiction writing class with Robin Lopez. Apparently, he and Brooke, now twins playing in the NBA, had created their own shared world of stories of anthropomorphic animals, like a Richard Scary book. All of his stories submitted to the class used these characters, and other than them being in animal bodies, they were people for whom they had developed distinctly human personalities.
