OT: Assistance with gif creation/posting?

Stay connected for news and updates

A few of you were very helpful earlier this summer in pointing me in directions for editing a clip I have from a game I attended this summer. I'd love to make a gif of it still and got a bit stuck. I'm feeling the time pressure because I don't have a DVR; only what I can access through mlbtv.com, and that will likely disappear as ST begins for this season. More details after the jump...

I previously used Cam Studio to "rip" the footage from the game, and then monkeyed around semi-successfully with GIMP to make a gif. I made one, but it was very choppy and HUGE - WAAAAYYY larger than we like to see with regularity on this site.

1. Any tips on how to clean this up better?

2. I recently made the switch to Google Chrome (as in yesterday). Is the "gifpal" web app worth using?

3. Any super nice people out there who'd be willing to just do it for me if I gave you the exact date and time during the game?? I'd be happy to barter cake/pie or other applicable goods/services...

Thanks in advance for any kind help!
