Giants New Road Uniforms Revealed

I posted these in a thread yesterday, but I thought that we needed a place where we could discuss, criticize, and complain about these "interesting" new jerseys.

Personally, I think they would be much nicer without the the black piping. It only makes the jersey seem crowded.

They also look quite a bit like those " men's fashion" jerseys you can find at sfgiants.com, while that might be fine for fans, it looks way too cheap to be a major league design.

While I'm disappointed that they didn't try harder to give the fans something to run out and spend $200 on, it's not like they would've put that $200 towards good players anyway.

You might want to try editing this post as it is confusing. Are there three new road jerseys? How about pictures of previous jerseys. Describe the changes. A little detail goes a long way.

It's the logo for my favorite band!

Another possibility would be making a fanshot that links to a web page which displays these uniforms.

Yah, comparing old and new versions would be cool. I personally like the black piping or lining, it gives the jersey a little bit of form on the front.

I totally dig the piping

Gonna buy me one for sure.

Most of all

I’d like to see Carols Beltr— no wait— Kuroda in one of these in 2012.

YOU WILL GET THE MILKMAN AND LIKE IT!!!!

Despite his permanent erection, the man has no regrets over his penis tattoo, according to the report.

I like the piping for the retro jersey, not so much for the “San Francisco” one.

And here Major League comes on HBO, and there's the old school Giants unis there...

I don’t usually think I’d pay for an alternate jersey…I’ve only bought one jersey of any kind in the last dozen years. I mean, the black ones looked like Spring Training jerseys, and the Orange ones might be palatable if the ‘Giants’ were in the old 70’s script.

But I’m seriously considering getting that alternate. Classy.

Also, I agree with Bhaakon. The piping on the regular road jersey doesn’t look right.

Upon further review

While I think the piping works on the old school version alone, I think it might be wonky with pants. The piping’s going to just end abruptly at the waistline, like a big, black arrow drawing the eye to the player’s crotch. I’m going to withhold judgement until I see how that works out in a full uni.
