Duvall's three-run, two-out HR in the 7th inning provided the game's decisive moment. He and Harris combined for four of the GreenJackets' nine hits. Batting leadoff, Haney reached base three times.
In the playoff opener, Kickham allowed just 1 R--something he did just twice over his last nine starts. This start included a 10/3 GO/FO line. Entering the 8th inning with no outs and two runners on base, McCormick struck out his first batter and got his second batter to line into a double play. This year's 31st round selection was making his first appearance with a full-season affiliate after he posted a 1.19 ERA in 30.1 IP in the NWL this summer.
