My Brother's Make-A-Wish Day at the Park (With Pictures)
I've mentioned here before my brother has been battling Leukemia. He's in remission now and should be clean from the disease in another year if everything goes right. We hooked my brother up with the Make-A-Wish foundation and his wish was to meet Tim Lincecum and the Giants. Well his wish was made true last night.
Make-A-Wish paid for our hotel in San Francisco and tickets and had a limo drive us to and from the park. When we arrived at the park we were taken through the tunnel of the stadium and on to the field while the Giants were taking batting practice. We meet Kruk and Kuip walking through the tunnel and shook their hands. I'm kicking myself for not taking a picture with them.
We got to stand behind the batting cage and watch the guys take batting practice, until Bochy's big ass body blocked out view.
My brother didn't get to meet Lincecum because Timmy was preparing for today's start. My brother is almost an adult, so that didn't disappoint him. Besides he got an autograph ball from Lincecum. My brother though did get to meet Torres and Bumgarner which made his day. Then the final score of the game made everyone's day! Now onto the pictures.
As you can see my brother is kind of tall. He was actually taller than quite a few of the Giants, including Torres. Also sorry about Torres closing his eyes when I took this picture. Torres is also the biggest sweetheart I've ever met. Dude is all class.
Bumgarner was also a sweetheart. Also my dad nearly fainted when he meet Bumgarner because Madison is his favorite player.
"You're not gritty enough to start tonight, Torresy."-Bochy
"I'm a Giraffe."
The rest of the photos are here. This was certainly a day we'll never forget.

Big Brothers are cool too.
I never had one. I was, and still am actually to 5 surviving dipsticks. Give yourself some props for being there for him. Not even a dad can be a substitute for a big brother. Like Goofus wrote, the coolest of all is that he is on his way to recovery. Glad to hear it.
The Giants win the championship in this stuff every year, hands down. Nobody does it better.
You're an awesome big brother
Best wishes to your brother for a full recovery and a healthy long life.
Great stuff!
Hope your brother, as well as you and your family, are all doing great!
I'm thinking but nothing's happening.
