Cody really seems to psych himself out in situational hitting AB’s. I had a lot more confidence in Pat getting a flyball to the OF, and Cody getting a 2 out hit, rather than the other way around.

You know what we all need to do...
we all need to figure out how to adjust DOWN our expectations of Cody Ross. I think we are all guilty of expecting him to be a player he just is not. And, of course, I think most of us are able to keep that perspective some of the time, but nobody can do that all of the time. I believe that the McCoven can unify and leave no one behind in forming a single opinion and expectation of this streaky good player.
There are plenty of us who know exactly what he is
He is a streaky hitter who will hover around .260-.270 smack around 20 HRs given consistent playing time and will give you solid defense in any outfield position.
I really don’t think many people around here expected him to hit like he did in the post season.

This team has a lot of offensive problems. Cody Ross and his .352 wOBA aren’t one of them. Can we remember he missed three weeks of spring training with a calf injury, had his spring training in April, and has done nothing but get on base since? The Ross ripping is tired, uninformed, and baseless.
