I actually really don't

If there’s one thing more frustrating than watching Zito, it’s someone who can’t find the strikezone at all and walks the first three batters of the game.

And then doesn't give up any runs?

I’d much prefer that

That's flat-out incorrect. They were scoring 2-3 every time.

Sanchez was getting lit up for RUNS before he went on the DL.

Final outcome was that the Giants were winning Dirty's starts

and not when Zeets starts.

Because they’d be selling low. Torres has clearly had issues this year related to his ADD/medication, no? If they can get it figured out in the offseason, there’s a good chance he could be a valuable player again in 2012. He’s still a great defensive CF.

Between innings question for the McCoven

Who had the best trade deadline pickup among the NL contenders? Giants (Beltran), Phillies (Pence) or Braves (Bourn)?

I’m going to say Bourn, by a long shot.

what sucks is that the city and everyone else was nice enough to build them one of those cushy new ballparks, something that’s supposed to help the team make money and make them able to increase payroll. That’s the whole point of the new stadiums Instead, the Padres have done the opposite. Basically, they’re ripping off the people who paid for that ballpark. If they would have stayed at Qualcomm it wouldn’t have made much of a difference

Back in like 01 or 02 I was at a Giants vs Pads game at the Murph. In the first inning as the Giants were running off the field, I slightly raised my voice from about 10 rows up behind the dugout and said “Hi Durham” while wearing my Giants jersey. He heard me and tossed me the ball. The Pads fans looked stunned. I don’t think they knew you could do that. In the second inning, every Pads fan around me was standing up and saying “hi” to the Giants as they ran off. And the Giants players were giving them balls every time. Didn’t see the Pads players doing that on the first base side for whatever reason.

Anything else is always something better.

Not that it matters in this game, but Rowand in CF with Torres on the field makes as much sense as Rowand batting leadoff against a RHP.

There is an adjustment period to the humidity; however they have a training staff to help them with that sort of thing, and they’ve been back there awhile now. Seriously though, if you are used to CA weather, going back east to heat and humidity can give you breathing problems.
