The Mets just traded Frankie Rodriguez and cash to the Brewers for a pair of PTBNLs.

So turn your rosterbators up to 11, the fire sale has begun.

and since I know you all want to hear about my fantasy team

the important piece of news on this trade is I was first to the waiver wire and picked up both Bobby Parnell and Jason Isringhausen

I picked up Parnell. If the coser is Isringhausen, I probably don’t want him anyway :x

Got Parnell too

Sorry Chipper, you’re on the DL too long. I doubt the Mets install Isringhausen for long if they do it at all, and even then it’s probably just as a showcase to deal him too. Parnell is going to be the closer in August and September.

Yeah, Izzy is going to be traded as well. I heard he went to Alderson and asked him not to trade him, but it doesn’t make any sense to keep him.

Buster Posey: Like his team, he's done for the year.

The PTBNL will be interesting. Are they 2 guys that signed last year and can’t be named until after August 15th, or are they just 2 C level, or lower, prospects that the Mets will get to choose in September based on how well K-Rod plays for the Brewers? My bet is on the latter – this was all about dumping an egregious 2012 salary and the Mets were getting desperate.
