McC Night at the Yard: Tuesday 8/23 (with poll)
Mark your calendars! Our annual game meet-up planning is under way. This year's event will be the evening of Tuesday 8/23 against...wait for it...The Padres (gasp!) More details to come as the date draws closer, but we'll be keeping with tradition and meeting for drinks ("What if I came here for the booze?") at Zeke's and then heading to the game.
In breaking with tradition, and because tickets are harder to get this year, we're also looking at purchasing a block of tickets with a bit of a group rate, but need to know what sort of participation we could expect, so please answer the poll after the jump.
Please limit comments to event-related only so we can try to keep an accurate head count estimate and not have to sift through 1,000 comments to figure out who's interested. (I have a delete button and I'm not afraid to use it.)

Would be for me, possibly my wife as well (if we can get my father to sit for my kids). I’d need to buy tickets.

Just one ticket, though. Gotta leave an adult home with the kids.

I should be there, with my own ticket.
I may not be able to do it if we change from the Tuesday.
But that week should be good for me. I’ll look forward to it.

Can’t get there from Sac in time after work, but have a drink for me!
(Grant has, once again, narrowly avoided having to actually meet me. ;-)

mrs oldjacket and I
would like to buy tickets with the group.
Sidenote: last MCC event I was at was the Brooks Conrad game.

And I think I can finally make it this year. I’m probably good for 1 ticket, unless I can convince the new Mrs. Andy from DC.

Congrats!

I'm pretty sure I'd buy a ticket(s)
And I can think of at LEAST 2 more who’d want to come with.

Gah!
The family and I are headed off to London that very evening for vacation. I’m gonna miss the festivities. Too bad I won’t get to make NPR jokes with TL2, share awkward silences with groug for the 3rd or 4th year in a row, and listen to Goofus make penis jokes. To say nothing of Grant’s drinking problem. And this means someone else is going to have to take the photos. Suckers!
Seriously, it’s a great night out if you’ve never been. The McCoven are a warm and welcoming group of folks once they leave their mom’s basement.

I will probably go.
I like the idea of a bulk ticket thing and really hope that next year we can do it far enough in advance that we can have the entire group.
Back on the market.

Unfortunately, there's never a date that works for everyone
This notice is going out six weeks prior to the event. How much farther in advance would you suggest?
The thong is, it happened.
If I’m in town, I would gladly buy a ticket. I’ll know soon, as I might be down in Long Beach.
My son, so I'm told. And this stalwart young lad (Hi, free f.p. #14!).
my birthday!
also band practice night. I’ll still try and go.

I'm not good at forecasting that far into the future
But I’m interested. I’d say that there is better than 50% chance that I’ll attend. I’d probably bring the Mrs.

But we should stop by Zeke’s before the game to check it out
