Around SBN: UFC 146 Results: Junior dos Santos TKO's Frank Mir

For those not yet suffering from total Vogelsong overload, I though this was a thoughtful and, dare I say, Posnanski-esque essay from David Murphy of the Philadelphia Daily News.

With vogelsong as our new ace,

Lincecum is our number 2, Sanchez the 3, Cain our 4, and Bumgarner our 5, which makes our staff overall as good as the phillies, except they have a few guys who are complete game types.

The title of your post makes me laugh because it’s so ridiculous. Then I realize that it is, at this very moment, quite true. And that makes me laugh harder.

Nice article!

That was a great article, not only about Vogelsong, but on why predicting regression in general kind of misses what’s appealing about sports. I love the writing analogy.
