In the most recent post-game thread, we stumbled upon a pretty entertaining subthread that, for the sake of a little fun, seemed worth opening up as a broader diversion. The original idea was just a matter of somehow splicing Buster Posey with the title of a famous book. From The Unbearable Lightness of Being Posey and The Busters Karamazov to Catch-28 and The Stars, Like Demp, the endeavor was funny and fruitful, but, ultimately, too limited.

With the simple addition of The Bridges of Madison Bumgarner (credit shanghaijim), it became immediately clear (to me, at least) that this thing had to be open to the whole team, and I'd venture even the history of the team, and (to El Person, at least) that the only way to properly approach doing that was in FanPost form.

If you will then, let's open this bag of worms. A Vogelsong of Ice and Fire is, perhaps, old news. I Never Promised You a DeRosa Garden, is, maybe, a better start.

But when it comes to puns (and obscure Giants, and obscure literature), you lot are better than me. In fact, by that measure, jcb9 should probably just have this thread to himself. But he won't. This should be fun. Let's see what you got.
