So they wanted a guy that could pitch innings, not someone like Kroon who’s short relief?

It’s great with regular cheese too of course, all the toppings are pretty good.
Little Star is fantastic but those Chicago-styles are real gut bombs. Patxi’s makes soy cheese deep-dish but IMO the soy cheese is too bland when in great piles like that. On a thin-crust pizza it’s less noticeable.

Not at all, just a way to enjoy pizza with less fat/calories. Few places have it, and some of them have an utterly horrible version that’s vegan but turns to awful plastic sludge when melted. Patxi’s has both that and the good non-vegan one that they use at Goat Hill.

Hm
you own a car? If you do the city may suck, especially if it’s nice.

Rent a hip, industrial pad South of Market. Close to the ballyard, right near the freeways, plenty of stuff to do.

There was just an article about that either in sfgate or the merky that people can’t get mortgages for those. Condo complexes with either a large %age of the units being rentals or with a large %age of units being in foreclosure/default/vacant … banks won’t give you a mortgage.

yup
That’s an old 70s problem coming back to haunt people, banks have underwriting guidelines limiting loans to buildings with a high percentage of rentals. And when more owners have financial difficulties, they can’t sell their unit and have to rent it, making the % worse…lather, rinse, repeat.

There’s always the more commercial type places like Rent.com. Some real estate websites, trulia and zillow list rentals. Ya takes yur chances with Craigslist, local papers in the want ads. Enroll at a community college and browse their student housing boards.

I don't know anyone that's looked here in a while
but I think craigslist is what people do these days. Also, if there’s some neighborhood you’re set on, just drive/walk around and look for signs.

We have a rental become available in Oakland soon
It’s the top floor of two-story a duplex. 2 bedroom, 1 bath. Walking distance to BART and easy freeway access. $1600/month
Let me know if that’s of interest.
The thong is, it happened.
dammmnnnn, 1600 a month... gonna have to think about that, plus utilities?

Not sure. I'll need to check with Mrs. Goofus on the utilities
It was her place when we met and she manages all that stuff. We’ve had tennants in there who are having a baby and moving into something bigger at the end of this month. We’re gonna do a little work on it, but it’ll be ready soon.
It’s a real good place to share with a roommate. It also has a back deck with access down to the backyard.
The thong is, it happened.
That sounds actually fantastic if i were to found somebody for the other bedroom. Like if my girlfriend were to live with me, that’s not too terrible at all, what part of Oakland?

Not sure what the neighborhood is called, but it's right near Mosswood Park
It’s not exactly Oakland Hills, but it’s not really a bad neighborhood either.
Oh yeah, it has an off-street parking spot too.
The thong is, it happened.
oh nice! Yea, i've been near that area, used to drive around Mosswood a bit
when i was younger to check out the basketball players. And off-street meaning, it’s like your own parking spot somewhere?
