If Major League Baseball was more like little league

So some friends and I were discussing this possibility last season driving home from a game at ATT.

What if major league baseball was built around districts in the same way youth sports are. Meaning, If I'm from neighborhood X , I can only play for the local team.

So if this was instated, Timmy would be on the Mariners, Huff would be playing for the Rangers (or Astros?, I can't remember specifically where in Texas he is from, or what market it falls under).

The Giants would be composed of Nothern Californian Stars, but would likely have to share some with the A's.

They would for sure keep Pat the Bat.

The game we came up with was to come up with the best possible roster for each team based on the principle that players have to come from that team's home market.

Go.
