Stochasticity
This is a pretty solid episode of radio lab explaining stochastic statistics. It also goes in to how bad people are at judging randomness. I take the physics approach to calculating statistics which is, Simulate It! These Monte-Carlo methods are based on calculating likelihoods based on randomly simulating strings of non-deterministic (stochastic!) events. This is the basis for all baseball simulations, and I feel like this episode serves as a pretty interesting primer on the subject. Humm Baby
