In my experience, trying to organize fantasy baseball leagues for large groups of people is, to put it mildly, a huge pain in the rear. Should I start a league? I thought you were starting a league? This league is full already. My league needs 9 more managers. Did we agree on these settings?
Hence, I thought I'd create a new post where us nerbs can organize fantasy baseball leagues and make sure that everyone who wants to play finds a league that suits them while hopefully keeping the confusion to a minimum.
So, here are the rules for this thread. Please follow them. I think they will make everything easier for everyone.
- If you're willing to run a league, start one at whichever site you prefer (I'm using Yahoo, but ESPN or whatever else you like is fine too) and post the details in a comment below.
- If after seeing the details, that league appeals to you, join it and announce yourself by replying to that comment with the team name you've chosen.
- Try to keep any conversation about a particular league (scoring tweaks, draft details, which managers cheat, etc.) in that league's subthread.
If this whole idea is ill-conceived (and it probably is), then I'd ask a mod to delete this post. Otherwise, it'd be great if you could rec it so it stays on the front page for a while. If a mod wants to help out by deleting any reply fails, that'd be terrific too.
POKEMONZ!
EDIT: I've also been going through and rec'ing the comments that are league details. If they're green, they'll be easier to find for people looking for a league.
