Perhaps, but the team should have thought about that before eschewing any kind of offense and deciding that pitching was where the money is going to go. If pitching is what the next decade is going to be made of, and it may as well have a face that already sells t-shirts. Even if we lost 1-2 years to injury, that would be 6 years of a top-of-the-staff kind of starter, locked in.

This is Timmy's opening offer. If giants only manage to get it down to 8 year deal, with the 8th year having an 10 Million buy out, and I'd be happy as a pig in shit. Seriously.
