As reported by MLBTR, Nakajima's agent has approached the Yankees about a sign and trade. MLBTR mentions the Cubs and Giants as potential suitors. Is anyone else salivating at the thought of acquiring a shortstop with a good shot at meeting (or even exceeding!) major league average production?
I haven't been around much lately....did I just miss the post where this was covered in detail? If not, I would love for the G's to try and match up with the Yanks. Nakajima probably isn't the fielder that Crawford is, but he sounds like an average SS at worst, and his bat ought to be a huge upgrade over....basically anyone else we could get. Do we match up with the boys in pinstripes as trading partners?
Anybody else really want to see this happen?
